peaceful kids

how I use oils to support them

Peace is forever and always a priority in all that I do, and in all areas of my life—with my girls, my husband, our family, and in my business.

Since so much is swirling around at this time of year, I wanted to offer a tool of peace to my girls right now feels really right. This of course, can be supportive at any time of year, when emotions are swirling and a little extra support is needed. But especially right now in the school time transition.

I love to tune into the plant medicine cabinet that is our beautiful essential oils apothecary, at home.

In this entry my of my notebook, I want to share the four rollers I have within reach for my girls are—Stronger touch, Lavender touch, Magnolia touch, Console touch, and Calmer touch.

3 ways my girls use them:

  1. For emotional outbursts, roll Console on your child's inner wrists and let them inhale. Then roll on back of neck and spine.

  2. For a calming bedtime ritual, roll Calmer on the palm of your hands and massage it into your little ones soles and feet for a magical massage.

  3. For a little boost of strength — body and mind — roll Stronger on their chest in a big W and back of neck.

For essential oils rollers around the home, I love these little oil stands that I found on Etsy.

A peace practice I do with my girls:

Roll Magnolia on their inner wrists, show them how to rub their wrists together, and then bring wrists up to nose and take 3 big belly inhales and exhales. They will model your breathing so make it deep and calm for them! Magnolia has a naturally occurring chemical compound which has a relaxing effect 7x more powerful than Lavender! We love Magnolia in our home. Magnolia is the oil of compassion, the oil that supports and reminds us to live in love and harmony.
